Agile children listening old tales…読み聞かせで子供いきいき

Last summer, I found a recruitment of "Book education support workers" from the neighborhood's elementary schools, I applied.
There are mainly child's mother and a dozen young women, and me. Man is only me.

"The men appeared in a story, a man's voice is moving." Women ecouraged me and I continue this work.

The morning before class or feeding after about 15 minutes, We tell schoolchildren in the lower grades old tales and fairy tales using large picture books. All Children eyes are sparkling, they really focus in a picture book. When I saw their adorable and serious expression of surprise, It was all I could do to keep a straight face.

100-year-old writer of children's literature Momoko Ishii wrote, "The children's book is a fundamental human book,"

I also realize that from a child's face. This work is carried out by volunteers. This attempt is praying future main player,children's mental growth and region's ability successfully used. I think this attempt will spread across every country.

読み聞かせで子供いきいき

昨夏、近所の小学校から「図書教育支援員」の募集があり、応募した。
集まったのは児童の母親を中心とする若い女性十数人に私一人。
「男性の登場するお話は、男性の声の方が迫力がありますね」などと
励まされながら、続けている。

朝の始業前か給食後の約１５分間、低学年の児童に昔話や童話の
大型絵本を読み聞かせている。子供たちはどの目もキラキラ、本気で
絵本に集中する。その愛らしい、ビックリしたような真剣な表情を見て
いると、噴出しそうになるのをこらえるのが精一杯だ。

満100歳になった児童文学作家の石井桃子さんは、
「子供の本こそは根源的な人間の本である」と書いている。

私も、それを子供の表情から実感している。図書教育支援員は
ボランティアで行っているが、将来をになう子どもたちの心の成長を
願い、地域の力をうまく活用した試みだ。各地に広がるといいなと
考えている。
